What day was the Eternal Maiko born?
The Eternal Maiko community was born on the International Kimono Day, 8th May of 2012.
What is the goal of Eternal Maiko?
The Eternal maiko is like the mother of many projects related to the kimono and geisha culture. Our goal is to promote both this cultures by sharing knowledge, encourage kimono dressing and connect people worldwide by these passions.
And which are those projects?
There are several, not all of them are specifically projects. These are the ones who are directly related to EM:
International Kimono Auctions (IKA)
This is a Facebook group that helps kimono sellers to do advertizing to their itens for sale, and also to help potential buyers to find the item they wish.
Worldwide Kimono Fashion (WKF)
This is a project which has the purpose of sharing each one's unique style and make people wear kimono more often, by creating online kimono fashion contests, and sharing kitsuke informations. It also can have funny stuff like kimono memes and giveaways.
Western Geisha (WG)
This is a facebook group, where people can discuss the geisha culture and also kimono.
With all those projects(and maybe more to come), what is the place of EM in all this?
To those who don't know, Eternal Maiko joins every single one of these projects in this forum, and in the other hand, for those people who don't like forums much, they can just access the facebook pages easily, and vice versa. The forum is the mother of the other projects, yet is above all a normal forum in which anyone can participate, learn and also contribute. This forum is a community just like any other.
